Warehouse Operative Apprentice
This exciting opportunity as a Warehouse Operative Apprentice role will include you supporting the daily operations of our Warehousing and Dispatch team whilst completing a Warehouse Apprenticeship qualification! Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will gain practical, hands-on experience in a professional environment.
Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff. The role is designed to develop core warehouse skills, an understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the importance of safety, quality and accuracy when handling goods. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual looking to start a career in warehousing and logistics.
Some of the duties will include:
- Assist with receiving and checking incoming deliveries
- Accurately store goods in designated warehouse locations
- Pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch
- Support stock control activities, including stock counts and inventory checks
- Maintain accurate records using warehouse management systems
- Assist with loading and unloading vehicles safely
- Ensure products are handled and stored correctly to prevent damage
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Follow all company procedures, policies and safety at work practices
- Attend apprenticeship training sessions and complete required coursework
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve warehouse performance targets

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
TRS Training will provide monthly online sessions. Your apprenticeship will be completed by units that you need to submit throughout your employment and should take around 13 months to complete.

With a range of options available, the most suitable course will be selected towards the end of your apprenticeship to help you continue your professional development.
Desirable qualifications:
- GCSE in:
- English (grade 4)
- Mathematics (grade 4)
Share if you have other relevant qualifications and industry experience. The apprenticeship can be adjusted to reflect what you already know.
Your earnings can increase over time with an apprenticeship. After completing the apprenticeship, the candidate will work as the Warehouse Operative and take on new responsibilities and opportunities to progress within the company.
