Warehouse Operative
Location: Penrith
Hours: Full time Mon - Fri, (part time across five days considered)
Join Our Team
We are looking for a reliable, motivated, and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our busy warehouse team. This role is essential to ensuring that our customers receive the right products at the right time, while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, and dispatching goods while contributing to a well-organised and safe working environment. You'll work closely with colleagues across the warehouse operation and play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the supply chain.
What You'll Be Doing
- Picking, packing, and shipping customer orders in line with delivery requirements while maintaining exceptional accuracy.
- Receiving stock deliveries and locating products within the warehouse according to established procedures.
- Using warehouse management systems, including SAP and dispatch systems, to manage inventory and order processing.
- Supporting regular stock counts and ensuring all documentation is completed accurately.
- Packing and labelling outgoing consignments to company standards and customer requirements.
- Preparing and packing orders for central distribution customers in accordance with specified guidelines.
- Distributing goods across the site when required.
- Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, cleanliness, and organisation throughout the warehouse.
- Identifying discrepancies and proactively suggesting process improvements to the Warehouse Team Leader.
- Following all health and safety procedures, particularly relating to manual handling and lifting equipment.
- Supporting the wider team with any other reasonable duties as required.

What We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous warehouse, logistics, or distribution experience (desirable but not essential).
- Be highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to quality.
- Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing varying workloads.
- Have basic IT skills and a willingness to learn warehouse systems.
- Be a strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Take personal responsibility for maintaining safe working practices.
