Warehouse Operative / Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Location: Barlby, Selby, North Yorkshire

Salary: A GBP 12.71 per hour, reviewed after 3 months

Hours: Monday to Friday, 10-hour shifts between 7.00am and 5.00pm

Holiday: 28 days including bank holidays

Bottle Decoration Solutions is looking for a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our team in Barlby, Selby.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you will play an important part in keeping our warehouse operation running efficiently, from receiving incoming goods through to preparing and despatching customer orders.

Your main responsibility will be operating a Counterbalance Forklift for Goods In and Goods Out, alongside supporting the wider warehouse and production operation.

The Role

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift for receiving Goods In and despatching Goods Out
  • Safely loading, unloading, and moving stock around the warehouse
  • Packing customer orders accurately and preparing them for despatch
  • Preparing glass products ready for printing and production
  • Carrying out stock checks when required
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and hygiene throughout the warehouse
  • Following company health and safety procedures at all times
  • Working closely with your Shift Manager, Team Leader, and wider warehouse team
  • Supporting with other warehouse duties as required

About You

We are looking for someone who is practical, dependable, and comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment.

  • A valid Counterbalance Forklift certificate, this is essential
  • Previous experience operating a Counterbalance Forklift in a working environment
  • Previous warehouse experience
  • A good understanding of warehouse health and safety
  • The ability to work accurately and efficiently
  • A reliable and punctual approach to work
  • Good teamwork and communication skills
  • Flexibility and a willingness to support different areas of the warehouse when required
  • To be comfortable carrying out practical, hands-on duties throughout your shift

Hours and Benefits

  • A GBP 12.71 per hour, reviewed after 3 months
  • Monday to Friday
  • 10-hour shifts, with working hours between 7.00am and 5.00pm depending on operational requirements
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays
