About the role:

As a Warehouse Operative at InPost Newstrade in Coventry, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our warehouse operations. This is a hands-on position within a fast-paced environment, where accuracy, safety, and teamwork are essential.

You will be responsible for handling goods, loading and unloading deliveries, and supporting the movement of stock across the warehouse. A valid Counterbalance licence is required, as you will be operating forklifts as part of your daily duties.

This role suits someone who is proactive, reliable, and comfortable working in a high-energy setting. You’ll need to be adaptable, able to meet deadlines, and committed to maintaining high standards of safety and performance at all times.

  • Location: Unit 2, Imperial Park, Siskin Pkwy W, Coventry CV3 4PB
  • Shift Pattern: MONDAY - FRIDAY
  • Hours: 06:00am - 14:30pm
  • Salary: £13.50p/h

What you’ll be doing:

  • Take ownership of your day by accurately completing all required documentation in line with company procedures, ensuring records are clear, compliant, and up to date at all times,
  • Be hands on in the operation by efficiently breaking down, sorting, allocating, and loading inbound deliveries, using a counterbalance forklift where required to move goods safely and effectively.
  • Operate a counterbalance forklift in line with health and safety guidelines, ensuring all loads are handled securely and transported with care across the warehouse.
  • Maintain a safe, organised, and clean warehouse environment, understanding that a well kept workspace is essential for productivity, efficiency, and safety.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, carrying out every task with care, consistency, and a strong commitment to operational excellence.
  • Accurately assemble customer orders, carefully selecting and packing items to ensure they are prepared to the highest standard for dispatch.
  • Act as a quality control champion by thoroughly checking orders, identifying any issues, and ensuring every package meets our high standards before leaving the warehouse.

What we need from you:

  • Counterbalance licence is essential you will be actively operating forklifts daily, so a valid licence and confidence in handling equipment safely and efficiently is a must.
  • Physical fitness and stamina this is an active, hands on role that keeps you moving throughout the day, from lifting, loading, and unloading to managing stock and completing warehouse tasks.
  • Positive, proactive, and adaptable attitude we’re looking for team players who approach challenges with energy, enthusiasm, and a flexible mindset, ready to tackle anything the day throws at them.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality accuracy matters in every task, from picking and packing orders to maintaining a clean, organised workspace; a dedication to excellence is key.
  • Right to work in the UK candidates must have legal eligibility to work in the UK, ensuring compliance with employment regulations.
