Warehouse Operative
We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to join a busy warehouse based at our Aberdeen branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for the checking and receipt of goods through our internal management system with a view to supporting other departments throughout the warehouse when required. This position is designed for someone who has management system knowledge, a high work ethic, good communication skills, and a willingness to learn on the job.
Hours
- Full-time Monday - Thursday; 8.00 am - 5.00 pm
- Friday 8.00 am - 4.00 pm with one-hour lunch break.

Main Duties
Main responsibilities to include (but not limited to):
Responsibilities:
- Receiving, handling, and dispatch of goods coming into, or going out of the stores or warehouse.
- Unloading, checking goods, entering details of received goods onto a computer system, and correctly storing them.
- Picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders.
- Keeping the warehouse area in an acceptable condition.
- Ensuring any vehicle taken onto the public highway is safe to use and is correctly loaded.
- The distribution of goods within a specified area and any other related tasks as specified on a daily basis by the branch manager.
- To ensure all dealings with customers and suppliers are conducted in a professional and courteous manner.
- Keeping the stores area in an acceptable condition and always acting in compliance with the Group's Health & Safety, Environmental, and Quality management systems.
Other Duties:
- Undertaking any other duties that are within the skill and capability of the individual as directed by the manager or other designated supervisors.
- All tasks to be performed in compliance with the Group's Health & Safety and Quality Control systems, as well as any other applicable management systems and best practices implemented by R&M Electrical Group.

Key Skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent accuracy/ Attention to detail
- Good organizational skills
- Good MS Office skills (good knowledge of word, excel, power point, and outlook in general)
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks accordingly
- Ability to deal and communicate with people at all levels both internally and externally
Previous experience in a similar role within a similar-sized commercial organization is essential.
Training
Training will be delivered primarily through on-the-job learning, allowing employees to develop their skills in a real-work environment with hands-on guidance and support.
