Opportunity for a Warehouse Operative / Counterbalance Forklift Driver

An opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Operative / Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join a well-established company offering warehousing, pick-and-pack, and distribution services for ecommerce and retail businesses.

About the Role

As a Warehouse Operative / Counterbalance Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for the safe handling, storage, and movement of goods while supporting efficient warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating warehouse equipment safely and in line with company procedures.
  • Loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse.
  • Using forklift trucks, pallet trucks, and other material handling equipment to transport goods.
  • Picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for dispatch where required.
  • Carrying out goods receipt checks, load inspections, and stock counts.
  • Using RF scanners and warehouse systems to manage inventory accurately.
  • Ensuring inbound and outbound goods are accurate and reporting any damaged or incorrect items.
  • Completing routine equipment inspections and reporting any faults.
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Following health and safety, quality, and hygiene procedures at all times.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previously worked as a Warehouse Operative, Forklift Driver, Warehouse Assistant, Warehouse Operator, Warehouse Technician, FLT Driver, Counterbalance Forklift Driver, Forklift Truck Driver, Warehouse FLT Operative, Forklift Operative, Materials Handler, Goods In Operative, Goods Out Operative, Warehouse Worker, Warehouse Picker, Forklift Operator, or in a similar role.
  • A valid Counterbalance (CB) Forklift Licence is essential.
  • Confidence operating material handling equipment safely.
  • Ability to carry out stock control, order picking, and goods handling duties.
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.

Shift

Monday to Friday: 9:00am - 6:00pm.

Salary and Benefits

This role offers a salary of GBP 27,180 and benefits. Internal training will be provided for VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) licence.
