JOB DETAILS
This is a hands-on, fast-paced warehouse role where accuracy, pace, and reliability are essential. As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for the movement, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring all items are handled correctly and orders are fulfilled without error.
You will be working in a physically active environment with daily targets and deadlines. Success in this role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to consistently follow processes in a busy operational setting.

The working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 17:00, with a one-hour lunch break.
Receiving and Processing Goods
- Unload deliveries and check items against purchase orders or delivery notes
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report issues promptly
- Sort and store stock accurately in designated warehouse locations
Picking and Packing
- Pick items accurately against order specifications
- Pack goods securely to prevent damage in transit
- Label and prepare orders with correct documentation
Stock Management
- Maintain organised stock locations and clean working areas
- Carry out stock checks and support inventory control processes
- Replenish picking locations to ensure operational efficiency
Dispatch
- Prepare and load goods for delivery
- Ensure all outgoing orders are accurate and correctly documented
- Work closely with drivers and internal teams to meet dispatch deadlines
Health and Safety
- Follow all Health and Safety procedures at all times
- Use manual handling techniques and warehouse equipment safely
- Report hazards, near misses, or incidents immediately

General Duties
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the warehouse
- Support team members and wider operational activities as required
- Contribute to a positive, team-focused working environment
Essential SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Experience working in a warehouse, logistics, production, or similarly fast-paced operational environment
- Ability to work in a physically demanding role, including lifting, carrying, and being on your feet for extended periods
- Proven ability to work to targets or deadlines in a previous role
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in picking and packing
- Ability to follow processes and instructions consistently
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills to complete paperwork and follow instructions
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a tea
