Job Details
Job Title: Warehouse Operative
Location: Belfast
Work Pattern: Part Time, Sunday 09:00-13:00 (4 hours per week)
Summary of Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our Belfast team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking and assembling orders within a fast-paced healthcare distribution environment. You will play an important role in ensuring products are handled safely, accurately, and efficiently while supporting the delivery of essential healthcare products to customers.
Responsibilities
- Accurately pick products using handheld scanning equipment.
- Assemble customer orders to required quality and productivity standards.
- Move between warehouse stations and work areas as required.
- Escalate stock exceptions to ensure orders are completed correctly.
- Handle products with care and report any damages promptly.
- Report stock location or pick face discrepancies to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Adhere to warehouse housekeeping, health and safety, and PPE requirements.
- Carry out reasonable duties as requested by Service Centre Management.

Desirable
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience.
- Experience using handheld scanners or warehouse management systems.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical or healthcare distribution environments.
- Familiarity with stock control procedures.
- Understanding of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards.
- Experience working to performance targets and deadlines.
- Knowledge of warehouse health and safety procedures.
- Flexibility to support additional shifts when required.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse support, distribution operations, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material handling, or a related field required.
- Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP), or equivalent certification preferred.
- Knowledge in fleet operations administration and transportation support processes.
- Knowledge in warehouse operations including receiving, storage, order preparation, shipment processing, and inventory movement.
- Knowledge in logistics documentation, transaction controls, and operational record maintenance.
- Knowledge in warehouse and transportation systems used for status updates, tracking, and transaction processing.
- Knowledge in loss prevention, material handling, and operational control requirements.
- Ability to process routine and moderately complex operational activities within established procedures.
- Ability to identify causes of routine operational issues, analyze basic data, and support issue resolution.
- Ability to maintain accurate operational records and transaction visibility across logistics workflows.
- Ability to communicate with internal and external contacts to obtain or provide operational information of moderate importance.
- Ability to support continuous improvement changes in systems and processes within defined guidelines.
