Warehouse Operative

What You Will Do

As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient movement, storage, and distribution of goods within our warehouse operation. Working as part of a collaborative team, you will be responsible for receiving, handling, storing, recording, and dispatching materials while maintaining high standards of accuracy, quality, and safety. You will operate both motorised and non-motorised material handling equipment and help ensure products are delivered to customers and internal stakeholders on time and in excellent condition. This role is vital in supporting daily warehouse operations and maintaining inventory accuracy.

How You Will Do It

  • Receive inbound deliveries and verify goods against shipment records.
  • Inspect incoming materials for damage and report discrepancies promptly.
  • Accurately record received and dispatched goods in warehouse systems and documentation.
  • Store materials safely and efficiently in designated warehouse locations.
  • Pick, gather, and verify customer orders according to specifications.
  • Pack products securely in line with shipment and transportation requirements.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely and in accordance with site procedures.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through effective stock control practices.
  • Follow all health, safety, and quality procedures within the warehouse.
  • Support housekeeping activities to ensure a clean, organised, and safe working environment.

What We Are Looking For

Required:

  • High School Diploma, equivalent qualification, or relevant warehouse experience.
  • Experience working in a warehouse, distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to follow established procedures and work instructions accurately.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to perform manual handling activities and work in a physically active role.
  • Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Preferred:

  • Experience operating forklift trucks or other material handling equipment.
  • Previous experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Knowledge of inventory control and stock management processes.
