A Snapshot of Your Day
This request is for a replacement Operations Coordinator to ensure business continuity at the LID offshore wind farm service site. The role is critical for daily operations. To address this, the role is structured around three core functions: materials handling, inventory systems management, and operational coordination. This focus ensures the complete lifecycle of parts management is covered, from ordering and receiving goods to accurately tracking them in the system and distributing them to service teams. Given the focus on warehouse logistics and inventory control, the ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar stores or materials handling role. Proficiency with inventory management systems like SAP, adherence to safety protocols, and a relevant vocational qualification are key requirements for this position.
How You’ll Make An Impact
Warehouse and Materials Handling
- Receive, inspect, and process incoming shipments of parts and materials, verifying them against purchase orders.
- Pick, pack, and prepare parts and equipment for daily dispatch to support planned maintenance and operational activities.
- Safely operate materials handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, to move, load, and store inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment in compliance with company and industry standards.
Inventory and Systems Management
- Accurately record all inbound and outbound material movements in the inventory management system (e.g., SAP) to ensure data integrity.
- Conduct regular stock checks and assist with cycle counts to maintain precise inventory records and resolve discrepancies.
- Process part orders and manage stock levels to ensure availability of critical components and supplies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
