Warehouse Operative (Late Shift) – Temp to Perm

Location: Basildon
Salary: £29,215 per annum (£14.05 per hour)
Working Hours: 12:30 – 23:00 (40 hours per week)
Shift Pattern: 4-day working week (Rotating: 3 weeks Tuesday–Friday / 2 weeks Monday–Thursday)

- Loading & Unloading: Safely handling goods, checking for damages, and ensuring all items are correctly stored.
- Inventory Management: Utilising operational systems to maintain accurate electronic and hard-copy records of all client products.
- Compliance: Ensuring all activities are completed on time and in strict conjunction with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Efficiency: Working alongside the Warehouse Manager to implement workflow improvements and reduce cargo handling errors.
- Equipment: Operating forklift trucks (where qualified) to assist in daily warehouse manoeuvres.
Requirements
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred but not essential.
- Licensing: A Forklift Licence is beneficial; however, full training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Skills: High level of accuracy in paperwork, strong communication skills for inter-departmental relationships, and a proactive attitude.
- Compliance: Candidates must be able to pass a DBS check and provide valid Right to Work documentation.
