About The Role
As a Warehouse Operative Nights in Illey, you will join Pertemps Dudley Industrial on a full-time, temporary-to-permanent basis. This role involves accurately picking customer orders using handheld scanners, handling general merchandise, chilled meats, and alcoholic beverages across the warehouse and cold store. You will prepare orders for dispatch, maintain precise stock levels, and support replenishment tasks. Shifts run Sunday to Thursday, 10pm to 6am, with a £17.30 hourly rate. Prior experience in order picking is essential, alongside a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently through the night. This position offers consistent hours and a clear route to a permanent contract.

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Night Order Picker to join a busy distribution warehouse based in Halesowen. This is a fantastic opportunity to secure a long-term position with a successful distribution business, offering consistent night shifts and the opportunity to gain a permanent contract.
The Role
- Accurately picking customer orders using picking lists and handheld scanners.
- Handling a wide range of products including general merchandise, chilled meat products and alcoholic beverages.
- Working within both the warehouse and cold store environment.
- Preparing orders for dispatch while maintaining high levels of accuracy.
- Replenishing stock and maintaining organised picking locations.
- Adhering to health and safety procedures at all times.
- Working efficiently to meet productivity and accuracy targets.

Candidate Requirements
- Previous order picking experience within a wholesale or distribution warehouse is essential.
- Experience working in fast-paced distribution environments.
- Comfortable working in both ambient warehouse and chilled cold store conditions.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to pick orders accurately.
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work to deadlines.
- Able to commit to the permanent night shift of 10:00pm to 6:00am, Sunday to Thursday.
