A look into the role

Working as part of the Henderson Wholesale Fresh Team, you will provide efficient and effective assistance to the various warehouse functions to provide high service to our customers.

Working in a fresh food warehouse is a fast-paced and dynamic experience. You’ll be part of a team ensuring that fruits, vegetables, dairy, and other perishable items are properly stored, handled, and prepared on to cages/pallets for delivery. The environment is temperature-controlled to keep the products fresh, so expect cooler conditions. Attention to detail is key, as you'll need to ensure that orders are accurately picked, packed and ready for delivery in a timely manner. It's a physically active job that offers a sense of accomplishment knowing you're playing a vital role in delivering fresh food to communities.

What you’ll be doing

  • Voice Picking – Using a headset system to select the correct items from warehouse locations based on customer orders.
  • Building Customer Orders – Placing picked items onto cages or pallets in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Quality Control – Checking items for damage and ensuring correct quantities are picked.
  • Stock Management – Reporting stock shortages, damages, or misplaced items to supervisors.
  • Safe Handling – Following manual handling procedures to lift, stack, and move products as heavy as 25kg safely.
  • Use of Equipment – Operating warehouse tools such as pick trucks and hand scanners where required.
  • Meeting Targets – Working efficiently to achieve daily order targets and deadlines.
  • Warehouse Cleanliness – Keeping work areas tidy and adhering to health and safety regulations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
