Warehouse Operative – Picking, Packing & Dispatch

  • Shift / Hours: Monday to Thursday, 7:30am – 4:30pm; Friday, 7:30am – 1:30pm (40 hours per week, early Friday finish)

About The Role

All Square Recruitment is excited to partner with a well-established electrical manufacturing business based in Braintree, Essex, to recruit a dedicated Warehouse Operative on a temp-to-perm basis. In this varied finishing and warehouse role, you will prepare finished goods for customers and keep stock moving efficiently from goods-in to dispatch. Furthermore, the position offers a clear route to permanent employment, consistent weekday hours and an early Friday finish.

  • Carry out accurate picking and packing of customer orders.
  • Load and unload goods from deliveries and prepare outgoing goods for dispatch.
  • Store stock in the warehouse using manual handling processes, keeping the area organised and accessible.
  • Log deliveries and stock movements accurately using the in-house computer system.
  • Clean base stock and prepare finished goods for final customer use, including laser marking.
  • Complete quality checks on finished goods and follow published process documentation.
  • Work closely with the production and warehouse teams to meet customer order deadlines.
  • Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and correct PPE.

Candidate Requirements & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
  • A Counterbalance Forklift (FLT) licence is advantageous. [CONFIRM – essential or desirable]
  • Numeracy and literacy to GCSE Grade C / Grade 4 level (or equivalent).
  • Good data entry and general computer skills for stock logging.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and willingness to work flexible hours when required.
  • Strong teamwork, good communication skills and a reliable work ethic.
