Role Overview

Warehouse Operative

Northampton, NN7 2QA (near junction 15 of the M1)

We are currently looking for a Warehouse Operative to join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working Monday to Friday, 2:00pm - 10:00pm. Please note, some weekend work will be required.

The Role

As a Warehouse Operative, you will support the smooth day-to-day running of our Northampton warehouse.

Specifically, you will perform a variety of tasks and general duties, including the operation of MHE to support operations, working with a strong focus on H&S.

You will safely load and unload trailers, handling goods correctly to ensure minimal damage, complete any relevant paperwork, and utilise MHE and automation systems.

Additionally, you will:

  • Adhere to all H&S procedures and utilise PPE
  • Complete equipment checks and any risk assessments
  • Seek ways to improve processes and drive efficiency
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to your team leader or manager

About You

To be considered as a Warehouse Operative, you will need:

  • Previous warehouse experience
  • An FLT, counterbalance, reach truck, or pallet stacker licence (A2)
  • Good levels of literacy and numeracy
  • An awareness of manual handling techniques
  • Teamworking skills
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail
  • A good level of general education, including a good understanding of both written and verbal English
