We’re looking for reliable, detail-focused Warehouse & Security Screening Operatives to join an exciting, brand-new operation at London Luton Airport.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an expanding team from day one. You’ll play a vital role in keeping goods moving safely and securely through the consolidation centre, while building a long-term career in a fast-paced airport environment.
The role is based within a warehouse setting, but you’ll also be working as part of the wider airport operation, where high security standards and attention to detail are essential. Full training is provided, along with real opportunities for development and progression as the operation grows — including the chance to gain Counterbalance Forklift Truck training.
This is a full-time, permanent role. We can offer flexibility in working hours, but you must be able to work either any 5 days out of 7 on either of the following shift times 06:00-14:00 or 07:00-15:00 or 14:00-22:00 or 15:00-23:00 or a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern 07:00-19:00. Shift

As part of the recruitment process, you will need to successfully complete a DBS check and Counter Terrorist Check (CTC). You must also be able to provide 5 years of continuous employment history. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to ensure your CV is up to date and includes at least 5 years of working history.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
- Carry out daily duties in the consolidation centre, ensuring full compliance with aviation security procedures and safety standards
- Receive deliveries from suppliers and carry out visual checks for signs of tampering
- Accurately book in deliveries using the relevant systems
- Prepare goods for security screening in line with regulations
- Operate X-ray screening equipment to inspect goods and ensure compliance with security standards
- Maintain a secure environment by challenging unauthorised access to the Unknown Goods Area when required
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Ability to provide 5 years of continuous employment history
- Successful completion of DBS check and Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a highly regulated environment
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify irregularities
- Comfortable with lifting, moving and handling goods as part of daily duties
- Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or security is desirable but not essential
