Warehouse Operative Healthxchange – Reading


Compensation & Hours £28,100 - £29,000 per annum Fixed working hours:

  • 42.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Shift timings: 7:00am – 6:00pm
  • No part-time roles or visa sponsorship available

About the Role

This Warehouse Operative role ensures the seamless handling of inventory—from reception and storage to accurate order fulfilment. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing warehouse operations
  • Operating machinery (including forklifts)
  • Using an ERP system to track and record stock
  • Prioritising safety, organisation, and efficiency at all times

Main Responsibilities

Inventory Accuracy & Compliance

  • Achieve 99%+ accuracy in picking and packing sales orders
  • Verify and correctly label all orders to avoid returns and maintain GDPR compliance
  • Process returned orders following internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Stock Management

  • Enter and track inventory data via ERP system
  • Inspect incoming goods for damage or discrepancies
  • Adhere to FEFO (First Expiry, First Out) procedures for storage
  • Maintain and reconcile daily inventory accuracy files
  • Carry out weekly stock counts and cycle audits

Organisation & Logistics

  • Replenish stock at pick locations and keep areas tidy
  • Arrange storage racks to optimise space while ensuring safety
  • Handle manual lifting (up to 25kg) and operate a Forklift/LLTW for larger units
  • Work across hot and variable-temperature environments as required

Workplace Safety & Health

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a housekeeping-standard warehouse
  • Promote an environment of cleanliness, orderliness, and efficiency

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Experience

🔹 Experience with ERP systems (preferred but not compulsory) 🔹 Valid forklift/LLTW certification (essential)


Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 GCSEs (A–C/9–4)* achieved, including:
    • English
    • Maths
    • One IT-related subject (or equivalent computer literacy)
