Warehouse Operative – Shipping & Logistics
Newcastle Under-Lyme | Monday to Friday | 09:00 to 18:00 | 40 hours per week
Are you looking to advance your career within Inventory and Logistics? If so, we are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative – Shipping & Logistics on a full time, permanent basis to make an impact on our growing Inventory and Logistics team!

- A rate of £12.96 per hour
- Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 18:00 (40 hours per week)

The Role
Working in a proactive, organised, and motivated manner, you will demonstrate strong collaboration and communication skills while delivering a high level of quality and accuracy.
On a daily basis, you will:
- Verifying and inputting information for outgoing parcels - weight, dimensions, destination, description of goods
- Creating commercial invoices where required
- Arranging collections from suppliers and customers using various courier platforms (DHL, UPS, FedEx)
- Reroute orders in line with import/export regulations and communicate customer requirements to relevant teams
- Providing import clearance instructions to couriers and freight forwarders
- Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately, meeting quality standards and agreed timescales
- Identify, resolve, or escalate non-conformances where orders do not meet specification
- Assisting in other areas of the operation where required
About You
You are detail-oriented, proactive, and organised, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. You take ownership of your work, demonstrate sound judgement, and communicate effectively with others.
In addition, you will have:
- Strong computer skills, with the ability to quickly learn and use new systems (role is primarily computer-based; Microsoft Office experience required)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- The ability to prioritise tasks and manage your workload independently
- Confidence in decision-making and problem-solving
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- A proactive, flexible, and adaptable approach, with a willingness to learn new skills
- Experience of manual handling and health & safety practices within a warehouse environment
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4 (or equivalent)
