Temporary Warehouse Operative

£12.71 p/h

Location: Colchester, Essex

Contract: Temporary

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am-4.30pm

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join a well-established company based in Colchester, Essex. This is an ongoing temporary position with potential long-term opportunities.

This role plays an important part in the day-to-day operations of a busy logistics team and requires a hands-on, adaptable approach.

Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading vehicles by hand
  • Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders using handheld scanners
  • Supporting other areas of the warehouse when required
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily operational targets
  • Following all health and safety procedures and maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy working environment

The Ideal Warehouse Operative

  • Previous warehouse or logistics distribution and supply chain experience preferred but not essential
  • Physically fit & comfortable with manual handling
  • Able to follow instructions and work independently
  • Flexible and willing to learn and support different areas of the operation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
