About The Role

Pertemps Northampton is recruiting Warehouse Operatives in Corby on a permanent, full-time contract paying £34,706 yearly. Working 42 hours weekly, staff follow a continental pattern of 12-hour shifts, alternating days (06:00–18:00) and nights (18:00–06:00), with rest days built into each rotation. Job Summary

We are seeking physically fit individuals to join our team as Hand Stackers. In this role, you will be responsible for manually stacking, organizing, and moving goods within our warehouse and production environment. Ideal candidates will possess exceptional physical endurance, strength, and agility to efficiently handle heavy and bulky items.

Responsibilities

  • Stack and arrange products or materials by hand according to organizational standards.
  • Ensure accurate counting and placement of items to optimize storage space.
  • Operate manual lifting equipment and tools safely and effectively.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas to promote a safe working environment.
  • Assist in inventory control and stock management by accurately documenting movements and counts.

Requirements:

  • Proven physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects repeatedly
  • Lift 16kg and 20kg regularly from a waist high conveyer belt onto pallets
  • A clear understanding of manual handling safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or production setting is preferred but not required.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy loads up to 25kg repeatedly.
  • Continuous standing, bending, lifting, and reaching throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in various environmental conditions, including ambient and warm temperatures.
