Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Warehouse Operator role based in Smarden. The Warehouse Operator will be responsible for:

  • Checking goods against documentation
  • Ensuring accurate storage and labeling of products

Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Preparing and packing orders for shipment
  • Operating material handling equipment and forklifts
  • Organizing inventory to maintain an efficient and orderly warehouse

The role also involves:

  • Following health and safety procedures
  • Maintaining cleanliness in work areas
  • Collaborating with colleagues to meet dispatch deadlines and support smooth warehouse operations

Qualifications

  • Practical warehouse skills, including unloading and material handling, with attention to accuracy and care.
  • Experience in packing and preparing orders for shipment, ensuring products are correctly labeled and secured.
  • Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment; forklift certification is an advantage.
  • Strong awareness of health & safety standards and willingness to follow all safety procedures and guidelines.
  • Good organizational skills, reliability, and ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills for handling documentation, stock counts, and order records.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment is beneficial.
