Key Responsibilities

• Work safely and comply with Company health, safety, environmental, quality and BRC requirements.
• Receive and put away goods from suppliers and production, checking for damage or missing items and escalating concerns.
• Pick and pack customer orders accurately using the Warehouse Management System, with suitable packaging to prevent transit damage.
• Book finished goods onto the Warehouse Management System and Sage, then store them promptly and correctly.
• Supply raw materials and packaging to Production, Printing and Converting in time to prevent downtime.
• Maintain accurate stock records and paperwork, including goods receipts, stock movements, material consumption and sub-product builds.
• Complete regular inventory counts and support the annual stocktake.
• Organise and book transport for UK and export orders using the appropriate carrier systems.
• Load and unload vehicles safely, efficiently and in a timely manner.
• Consolidate stock to make effective use of warehouse space.
• Re-label and re-pack goods to customer specifications.
• Complete pre-use checks for forklift trucks, vehicles and equipment.
• Remove waste from Production and Converting using the correct waste streams, and keep all work areas clean and tidy.
• Communicate professionally with internal teams regarding shipments, purchasing and quality matters.
• Support audits and investigations into complaints or operational issues.
• Suggest practical improvements to warehouse systems, processes and safe working practices.
• Help train and guide new team members and provide reasonable cover when required.
• Any other duties that may benefit a small enterprise.

Skills Knowledge and Experience

Essential

• At least two years' experience in a similar warehouse role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System or similar stock control system.
• Experience of parcel courier and transport booking systems.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• A conscientious approach with a high standard of safety and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures and maintain accurate system and paperwork records.
• Knowledge and understanding of health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

Desirable

• Valid Reach and Counterbalance Forklift Truck licences.
• Experience using Sage.
• Understanding of export orders and post-Brexit export procedures.
• Manual handling training.
• Experience working with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or BRC standards.
