Summary
This role is responsible for carrying out day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, storing, moving, and dispatching goods to meet operational requirements. Duties involve manual handling, stock control, and ensuring goods are processed accurately, safely, and efficiently in line with company procedures.
Key Accountabilities
- Receive, unload, and check incoming deliveries against delivery notes, reporting any discrepancies.
- Book in stock accurately on warehouse systems and ensure correct labelling and storage.
- Move, lift, and store products safely within the warehouse, following manual handling guidelines.
- Pick and prepare orders for dispatch in line with operational requirements and deadlines.
- Load and unload vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
- Wrap and secure pallets to ensure safe transportation of goods.
- Maintain accurate stock control, including stock counts and inventory checks.
- Ensure products are stored in the correct locations and stock rotation principles are followed where required.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Report any damages, faults, or discrepancies to the line manager.
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required to support the team.

No formal qualifications required (warehouse or logistics qualifications are an advantage but not essential).

Skills
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic IT skills for stock systems (desirable)
- Good organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment is desirable but not essential
- Experience with manual handling tasks
- Familiarity with stock control or inventory systems (advantageous)
Job Requirements
- Frequent lifting, moving, and handling of goods
- Working on feet for extended periods
- Working to shift patterns where required
- Use of PPE (e.g., safety boots, high-visibility clothing, gloves)
- Ability to carry out physically demanding tasks
