Overview

Our Stoke Campus Distribution Centres are at the heart of Dunelm’s supply chain, ensuring products are available for customers whether they’re shopping in store or receiving deliveries at home. As a Warehouse Operations & Systems User, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the safe, accurate and efficient movement of stock throughout the distribution centre.

Working closely with operational teams including Goods-In, Inventory Control, Quality Assurance, Health & Safety, HR and Transport, you’ll help ensure warehouse systems and processes run smoothly while supporting the delivery of operational objectives. This role is key to maintaining excellent service levels, driving efficiency, and ensuring customers receive the products they need, when they need them.

What you'll be doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day operation of warehouse systems to ensure stock accuracy and operational efficiency.
  • Monitoring and maintaining system data, identifying issues and working with operational teams to resolve them quickly.
  • Promoting and maintaining a strong culture of health, safety and compliance across the distribution centre.
  • Working closely with colleagues across Goods-In, Inventory, Quality, Transport and Warehouse Operations to support a seamless flow of stock.
  • Ensuring operational processes are followed consistently and accurately, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Providing support and guidance to colleagues on Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes and best practices.
  • Investigating and resolving stock, system and operational discrepancies to minimise disruption.
  • Producing and analysing operational reports to support decision-making and drive performance improvements.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels to support business priorities and customer service objectives.
  • Supporting projects, system developments and operational change initiatives across the site.

  • Experience working within a warehouse, distribution or logistics environment.
  • Good understanding of warehouse management systems and operational processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, always looking for opportunities to improve processes and performance.
  • Confidence using IT systems and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • The ability to work at pace in a fast-moving environment while maintaining accuracy.
  • A customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering excellent service.
  • Previous experience supporting operational systems, stock control or inventory processes would be advantageous.
