About The Role

This temporary Warehouse Order Picker role in Haydock offers £13.41 to £20.11 hourly, working Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 14:00, with immediate starts. Based at a chilled distribution centre, the successful candidate will pick customer orders using handheld scanners, pack goods, and prepare stock for dispatch. Moving items with pallet trucks forms part of daily duties within a temperature-controlled setting. Applicants must pass a DBS check plus drug and alcohol screening. Accuracy, reliability, and the ability to work quickly under supervision are essential. Previous picking experience suits this position, though training may be given. The contract runs on an ongoing basis through Pertemps Liverpool.

Rate of Pay: £13.41 per hour

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 06:00am to 2:00pm

Start Date: Immediate Starts Available

We are recruiting Warehouse Order Picker to join a well-established and fast-paced distribution centre in Haydock. This role involves working within a temperature-controlled environment, ensuring products are accurately picked, packed, and prepared for dispatch.

Main Duties

  • Picking customer orders using handheld scanning equipment
  • Preparing stock for dispatch in line with operational requirements
  • Moving products safely around the warehouse using pallet trucks and other manual handling equipment
  • Loading and unloading goods as required
  • Maintaining high standards of housekeeping and health & safety
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily productivity targets

Candidate Requirements:

  • Previous warehouse experience is essential
  • Comfortable working in chilled conditions
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • PPT experience is advantageous but full training can be provided
  • Good communication and basic numeracy skills
