The Warehouse Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for owning and managing the Master Cleaning Schedule and coordinating the Vertique Quarterly Cleaning Program while ensuring sanitation compliance, GMP adherence, audit readiness, and operational support across the Central Hub Distribution Center.

Regular and timely attendance is an essential function of this position. Position is required to work all hours necessary to ensure operations function is fulfilled, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Supervise Warehouse Sanitation Employee-Partners by assigning tasks, setting priorities, monitoring performance, coaching team members, managing attendance and coverage, conducting shift meetings and safety huddles, supporting employee development, and participating in promotion, discipline, and termination recommendations.
- Own, administer, and continuously improve the Central Hub Master Cleaning Schedule (MCS), ensuring all sanitation tasks are properly scheduled, assigned, completed, documented, verified, and closed within established timelines.
- Supervise and direct sanitation team members in the execution of all Master Cleaning Schedule activities across Vertique equipment, warehouse operational areas, and designated exterior areas.
- Verify sanitation effectiveness through routine inspections, documentation reviews, corrective action follow-up, and sanitation verification practices to ensure established cleanliness and GMP standards are maintained.
- Identify overdue sanitation activities, equipment access constraints, labor shortages, or operational barriers and implement corrective actions to ensure Master Cleaning Schedule compliance targets are achieved.
- Maintain accurate sanitation records and KPI reporting related to Master Cleaning Schedule completion, sanitation performance, GMP observations, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate and oversee the Vertique Quarterly Cleaning Program, partnering with Operations, Receiving, Loading, Inventory, and Maintenance teams to ensure all assigned quarterly cleaning activities are completed according to established timelines and standards.
- Monitor and verify completion of all quarterly cleaning activities assigned to sanitation personnel and operational teams, ensuring proper registers of the completed activities.
- Lead sanitation execution of specialized cleaning activities on Vertique equipment, conveyor systems, palletizers, wrappers, merge systems, accumulation zones, and other automated material handling equipment.
- Track Quarterly Cleaning Program completion and provide routine status updates to Central Hub leadership regarding progress, risks, overdue items, and resource needs.
- Escalate overdue tasks, incomplete assignments, or program execution gaps to Central Hub leadership and work collaboratively with department leaders to develop recovery plans.
- Conduct program completion reviews following each quarterly cycle to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, standardization, and enhanced sanitation effectiveness.
- Serve as the program owner and subject matter expert for all warehouse sanitation programs, ensuring alignment between operational requirements, food safety expectations, GMP standards, audit readiness objectives, and facility sanitation priorities.
- Ensure all Employee Partners (EPs) are trained in the most recent version of the established standard operational procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. Also, must ensure that all the team members are up to date with the assigned training program.
- Coordinate sanitation activities with Receiving, Loading, Inventory, Maintenance, and Operations teams to align priorities, resources, workflow, audit readiness, and issue resolution.
- Monitor performance including Master Cleaning Schedule Completion, GMP Compliance, Labor Efficiency, Chemical Usage and Overtime Control.
- Partner with the Quality team to maintain audit readiness and participate in internal audits.
- Prepare and submit sanitation reports that track Master Cleaning Schedule Completion, GMP observations, labor efficiency, chemical usage, overtime, incidents, corrective actions, shift issues, and operational risks or opportunities.
- Must be hands-on with the team completing sanitation activities, including cleaning warehouse areas, Vertique equipment areas, floor care, chemical handling, sanitation inspections, waste disposal, and dunnage removal when applicable.
- Promote accountability, ownership, safety, and operational excellence through daily supervision, follow-up, and consistent enforcement of sanitation and safety expectations.
- Make sound decisions and multitask simultaneously without constant supervision.
- Required to follow applicable Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMPs), including relevant requirements under 21 CFR Part 117. Requires participation in various Food Safety-related training that Buffalo Rock utilizes. Required to report potential issues related to Food Safety.
- Carry out any other duties and shifts assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED: Required
- Additional education or training in warehouse operations, distribution/logistics, sanitation, Food Safety, or manufacturing: Preferred
Experience
- Must have at least three (3) years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role within a warehouse, sanitation, distribution, or manufacturing environment: Required
- Must have knowledge of sanitation processes, cleaning procedures, chemical handling, PPE requirements, and safe use of sanitation equipment: Required
Computer Skills:
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products including, but not limited to: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.: Required
