All About The Role
Based at our Advanced Steel Services site, Grove Road, Walton-Le-Dale, Preston, the purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment. The shift hours are Monday to Friday 8am-5pm.

Specific Tasks Include
- Pick computer-generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large items.
- Loading, cutting, and offloading of steel.
- Ensure all documentation is correctly actioned for accuracy of stock.
- Transferring stock to its location using a forklift truck/side loader and overhead crane.
- Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
- Keep work area clean and tidy and maintain high levels of Health and Safety at all times.
- Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.
- Operate machinery (only when trained to do so).
- All ad hoc duties required.

Essential Skills For The Role
- The successful candidate will have experience as a Warehouse Operative but does not have to necessarily be in the Steel Industry as training will be given.
- Have a flexible attitude, be results-oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
- Side-Loader/Fork-Lift Experience is desirable, however training will be given.
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
- Ideally a driving license.
