Job Title: Warehouse Shift Manager

Function: Distribution

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (2 days and 2 Nights), 12-hour shifts 6am and 6pm starts

Contract: Full time, permanent

Location: Bolton

Are you a Warehouse Shift Manager who enjoys staying close to the operation and leading from the front?

We’re looking for an experienced and hands-on Warehouse Shift Manager to help lead our depot warehouse operation, ensuring orders are picked accurately, safely and on time for our customers.

The Role

As a Warehouse Shift Manager, you’ll take responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the warehouse during your shift. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll spend time on the warehouse floor, ensuring the team is performing and delivering for our customers. This is also a great opportunity to develop yourself and will learn more about the transport side of the operation as you will also be expected to cover for the Transport Shift Manager when they are away from the operation.

What You'll Be Doing?

  • Leading, coaching and motivating a warehouse team
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to ensure orders are completed and delivered on time, in full
  • Ensuring orders are picked accurately and on time
  • Managing health, safety and quality standards
  • Driving performance and continuous improvement

Essential Ingredients

  • Proven warehouse leadership experience
  • Experience of working in a transport environment
  • Strong people management skills
  • SAP knowledge desirable
  • Operator Licence Awareness trained
  • Knowledge & understanding of BRC and Food Safety standards. (Level 2 Food Safety in Distribution)
