About The Role

Reporting to site management, the Warehouse Supervisor oversees daily operations at a distribution facility in Yate. Working Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm, the post-holder allocates workloads, monitors team performance and ensures goods are stored, handled and moved correctly.

Duties include supervising and training staff, managing stock, materials and equipment, and maintaining health and safety standards. Applicants should demonstrate proven supervisory experience within a warehouse or logistics setting, strong organisational skills and the ability to lead a team. This full-time, permanent contract offers a salary of £35,000 to £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a busy team in Yate.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operation, supervising staff and ensuring the team operates safely, efficiently and effectively.

Hours

Monday–Friday 8:30am–5:00pm

Duties

  • Supervising and managing the warehouse team on a day-to-day basis
  • Allocating workloads and ensuring daily targets are achieved
  • Managing the overall organisation and workflow of the warehouse
  • Monitoring team performance and maintaining high standards of productivity
  • Supporting, training and motivating warehouse staff
  • Managing stock, materials and equipment effectively
  • Ensuring goods are stored, handled and moved safely and efficiently
  • Overseeing warehouse processes and ensuring procedures are followed correctly
  • Assisting with fleet management and vehicle coordination where required
  • Maintaining accurate warehouse records and documentation
  • Using Excel to manage and monitor warehouse information
  • Using SAP systems where required
  • Identifying and resolving day-to-day operational issues
  • Reporting any issues or concerns to senior management
  • Ensuring the warehouse is kept clean, organised and secure
  • Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed
  • Working closely with management and other departments to ensure the smooth running of operations

Requirements

  • Previous warehouse supervisory or management experience
  • Good working knowledge of Excel
  • SAP experience would be a strong advantage
  • Previous fleet management experience would be preferable
  • Strong people management and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage, motivate and support a team
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Good attention to detail
  • Reliable, professional and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • A strong understanding of health and safety procedures
  • Availability to start within the next two weeks is essential
