About Wiltshire Scrapstore
Wiltshire Scrapstore is an award-winning environmental and community charity (Charity No. 1077193) dedicated to reducing waste and supporting creativity. We rescue clean, unwanted materials from business and the community that would otherwise go to landfill and make them available for schools, community groups, families, and organisations across Wiltshire and beyond. By joining our team, you'll play a vital role in helping us maximise the value of donated materials while supporting our environmental and charitable mission.
About the Role
We are looking for an organised, proactive, and hands-on Warehouse Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operation of our warehouse and stock management activities. This is a varied and fast-paced role where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for organising incoming donations, coordinating stock movement, maintaining safe and efficient working practices, and ensuring all areas of the organisation have the materials and resources they need.
Working closely with staff, volunteers, suppliers, and members of the public, you will help create a positive, productive, and safe working environment while supporting the ongoing growth and success of Wiltshire Scrapstore. The role involves a combination of team leadership, warehouse operations, stock control, collections, deliveries, and manual handling. You will sometimes work independently, particularly when conducting collections and deliveries.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
