Warehouse Supervisor

At Hyundai Construction Equipment Europe (HCEE), we deal with the sales, marketing and service of Construction Equipment and Material Handling Equipment in Europe. We have over 100 dealers in 30 countries in Europe, selling our world-class equipment and parts to clients. We are currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor in our European Headquarters in Tessenderlo, Belgium.
What can you expect from this challenging job?
As a Warehouse Supervisor, you are responsible for achieving high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, identifying, dispatching, and assuring the quality of goods.
- You organize and maintain the inventory and storage area: you safeguard the usage of available space in an optimal manner, you analyse stocks for efficient location, you monitor the cleanliness of the warehouse, and you guarantee a safe working environment. You measure and report the effectiveness of the warehouse activities.
- You lead a team of 16 warehouse clerks: together with HR, you recruit new coworkers, you follow up on staff performance, you motivate the team and create team spirit. You monitor compliance of safety regulations.
- You define the necessary warehouse tools and machinery to optimize the work. You prepare work instructions and monitor maintenance and repair.
- You select and evaluate packing materials and consumables. You select, compare, and evaluate suppliers. You reduce damages and eliminate excessive usage.
- You analyze procedures and processes to implement the most efficient working methodology. You communicate on a regular basis with the Logistics teams.
- You assure a safe working environment in the warehouse and take proactive and corrective actions for improvements.
- You follow up and communicate the statistics relative to inbound, outbound, and storage.
- You monitor the warehouse systems and troubleshoot in case of problems. You contact suppliers to arrange for necessary interventions.

Are you the new colleague we are looking for?
- You can look back on a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor.
- You have experience in supply chain management and/or logistics.
- You are a true people manager who can efficiently organize a team’s daily tasks.
- You have experience in conducting inventories and regular stock count.
- You have a proven track record of implementing efficient procedures and process improvements.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English.
- You are a motivated, organized, and analytical person, who likes to take initiative.
- You are a team leader with excellent listening and communication skills. You are empathic.
- You are a sound decision maker.
- You have good knowledge of MS Office applications.
