Are you an experienced warehouse leader who can really deliver?

Do you thrive in a fast-paced operation where safety, service, and people are at the heart of everything you do? Ready to take the next step in your logistics career with a business that does things differently?

GXO is currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor (Nights) to join our B&Q operation in Preston Brook.

In this role, you'll be responsible for leading the night shift operation, ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient movement of stock while delivering exceptional service for our customer. You'll play a key role in developing your team, driving operational performance, and supporting a culture of continuous improvement across the site.

This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 20:00 to 06:00. Flexibility may be required to support the needs of the operation because, after all, this is logistics!

Pay, benefits and more:

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £34,000 per annum, plus an additional 20% night shift premium. You’ll also receive 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days so you can enjoy a positive work-life balance. Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts, in addition to our continued focus on internal promotions, over 60% last year!

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
