Reporting to: WAREHOUSE MANAGER

Your Mission
Is to lead and support the Warehouse team, ensuring smooth, efficient and safe operations. You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Manager to maintain optimal workflow, meet customer delivery targets and continuously improve processes. In the Warehouse Manager’s absence, you’ll take charge of the department and ensure high standards of performance, safety and team morale.
What you’ll be doing
- Responsible for daily warehouse operations including goods in, goods out, storage, inventory and order fulfilment.
- Coordinate scheduling and resource allocation to meet service level targets.
- Responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in the successful and timely flow of work.
- Monitoring warehouse KPI’s including but not limited to order accuracy, pick rate, inventory accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with all company and legal safety regulations.
- Have a clear understanding of the company's policies and vision and how the warehouse contributes to these.
- Provides input for the development policies and procedures to assure efficient operation of designated areas.
- Support general administration of the warehouse.
- Contribute ideas related to tools, fixtures, equipment, or layout changes to improve workflow, productivity, quality of consumer performances. Recommend improved methods, records, etc. to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Perform other duties as required by the nature of the position or as requested by the Warehouse Manager.
- Become proficient in using NetSuite, ServiceNow and other integral systems.
- Responsibility for the day-to-day operations including leading daily briefings, communicating priorities to the team and escalation of issues in the absence of the Warehouse Manager.
- Respond to and deal with customer communication by email and telephone.
- Lead, motivate and develop warehouse operatives to deliver exceptional performance.
- Organise the training of staff, as well as monitoring staff performance and progress where required.

What experience we think you’ll need

- Strong IT literacy, especially in Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Experience of ERP/WMS programs is desirable i.e. NetSuite, ServiceNow.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Highly self-motivated, with strong prioritisation and organisational skills.
- Experience of working within a pressured environment.
- Attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, safety and service excellence.
- Previous experience in warehousing/logistics, ideally in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead and develop a team of warehouse operatives.
- Due to the nature of the work, be fit and healthy as some heavy lifting may be involved.
- Forklift training or certificate, while advantageous, is not necessary; training will be provided if needed.
