Help maintain the highest hygiene standards while playing a vital role in producing safe, high-quality food products.
Role Overview
As a Night Factory Hygiene Operative, you'll be an essential part of the team responsible for ensuring our manufacturing facility is clean, safe, and ready for production. Working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment, you'll help protect product quality and food safety by maintaining exceptional hygiene standards across the factory and equipment.
Key Duties
- Carry out scheduled cleaning activities across production and factory areas.
- Strip down, clean, and reassemble machinery and equipment in line with site procedures.
- Clean production lines, trays, tools, and processing equipment to the required hygiene standards.
- Support deep cleaning activities within production and preparation areas.
- Complete post-clean inspections to verify cleaning standards have been achieved.
- Follow all hygiene, food safety, and Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Use and maintain PPE correctly while working across different factory environments.
- Work efficiently to ensure cleaning schedules are completed within required timescales.
- Report any faults, incidents, or concerns that could impact safety, hygiene, or production.

Ideal Candidate
- Experience within a hygiene, cleaning, food manufacturing, or production environment would be beneficial, although full training can be provided.
- A strong work ethic and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Comfortable working in a physically active role, including lifting equipment and operating high-pressure cleaning equipment.
- Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet agreed deadlines.
- Good communication skills with the ability to follow instructions and report issues clearly.
- Adaptable and comfortable working across different areas of the factory using the appropriate PPE.
- Reliable, self-motivated, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
