Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Warehouse/Distribution Team Leader to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who already has practical experience in a food production or cold storage environment and is ready to continue developing in a leadership position.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth distribution of raw and frozen products while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the distribution, handling, and verification of raw and frozen product orders
  • Organise day-to-day staffing, loading times, and equipment to keep operations running efficiently
  • Operate and oversee blast freezer processes, including programming and record-keeping
  • Monitor and report on health & safety across chill, freezer, and yard areas
  • Carry out product quality checks and report any issues to Line Leaders and QA teams
  • Escalate concerns relating to product quality, packaging, equipment, or food safety
  • Support stock control and ensure correct storage and temperature procedures are followed
  • Work closely with the Transport Supervisor to coordinate deliveries
  • Assist with stock movement and manual handling (regular lifting of 10kg+ required)
  • Promote strong hygiene, PPE compliance, and “clean as you go” standards
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet production targets

Qualifications & Requirements

  • FLT Counterbalance
  • Flexibility to cover Saturday shifts
  • Proven experience in warehouse management or logistics roles with a strong understanding of materials handling and shipping & receiving processes.
  • Demonstrable team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse workforce effectively.
