Role Summary
Based at Dogger Bank Wind Farm’s onshore base, you will play an important part in supporting the maintenance of GE’s Haliade-X offshore wind turbines. The warehouse is central to keeping operations running smoothly, ensuring specialist parts, tools, and materials are received, controlled, and made available when needed for planned preventative and reactive maintenance.
Working in a modern, large-scale, port-centric warehouse environment, you will lead day-to-day warehouse and inventory activities, coach and support your team, and help maintain safe, efficient, and well-organised operations.
This is a hands-on leadership role, suited to someone who enjoys being close to the operation, solving practical problems, and keeping materials flowing to support critical offshore activity.
Responsibilities

- Allocate workloads across goods receipt, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Receive, store, track, and issue tools, materials, and specialist parts
- Physically receive items from suppliers and forwarders and move them to the correct stock locations
- Prepare material orders to support planned preventative and reactive maintenance activities
- Update ERP and stock systems, maintaining clear control of material locations and stock availability
- Maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts, stock checks, and physical inventory activities
- Support discrepancy investigation, non-conformance logging, and resolution through the relevant business systems
- Organise and optimise the storage of tools, parts, and materials to support safe and efficient warehouse operations
- Coordinate deliveries, stock movements, and material availability with planning and sourcing teams
- Support audit counts, stock reporting, and general warehouse performance activities
- Carry out regular area safety inspections and help ensure warehouse activities are covered by suitable risk assessments
- Support the calibration, verification, or re-certification of tools and equipment where required
- Contribute to continuous improvement and help maintain a safe and efficient warehouse environment

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
