About The Role

Pertemps North Midlands seeks a Warehouse Team Leader for a permanent, full-time post at a new operation in Foston, Dove Valley Park. Pay ranges from £16.82 to £22.37 hourly. The successful candidate oversees daily planning, staffing and implementation, ensuring efficiency, safety and scalability across the site. Strong leadership, organisation and problem-solving abilities are essential, alongside solid supply chain experience and a proven record in warehouse operations. Duties include optimising workflow, driving productivity and maintaining operational excellence while delivering warehouse-as-a-service to business units within the facility. This hands-on position suits someone capable of managing teams, improving processes and supporting growth in a brand new distribution setting. Working pattern to be confirmed at interview.

Warehouse Team Leader

Pertemps are seeking an experienced, highly organised, hands-on Warehouse Team Leader for our client's brand new operation in Foston, Dove Valley Park.

The ideal candidate must have strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities, excellent supply chain experience and a proven track record in warehouse operations. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operational planning, staffing and implementation, ensuring efficiency, safety and scalability.

As the Warehouse Team Lead you will be instrumental in optimising workflow, driving productivity, and ensuring operational excellence in delivering dedicated warehouse-as-a-service to all business units operating within the facility.

Key Outcomes And Responsibilities

  • Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Quality related procedures and ensuring they are always understood and practiced by the team
  • Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of product meets customers timescales/requirements
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods
  • Supervise and proactively control order picking, goods in, goods out operations to ensure accuracy with minimum handling and stock damage
  • Organise, facilitate, and manage stock takes at regular intervals
  • Identify errors and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures whilst adopting the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues
  • Monitor and maintain stock accuracy by ensuring the physical stock is in line with the warehouse management system to ensure all stock movements are recorded to ensure accuracy
  • Completing and maintaining all daily and weekly reports and logs for the warehouse
  • Ensuring that all workflow procedures and processes are followed by direct reports
  • Coaching, training, and guiding direct reports

The Successful Warehouse Team Leader Will Receive

A starting salary between £30,000 to £35,000 dependent on experience
