Sector - Warehouse

Location: Stone

Temporary to Permanent

As a Warehouse Team Leader, your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe, efficient, and effective operation of your team within the warehouse. You will be expected to lead by example, support daily operations, and ensure performance targets are met. Flexibility in working hours is required to meet operational demands, including overtime where necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team in day-to-day warehouse operations
  • Actively participate in operational tasks alongside your team
  • Plan and organise team activities to meet operational targets
  • Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to team members
  • Communicate clear instructions and expectations
  • Monitor performance and ensure processes are followed correctly
  • Identify training needs and support continuous development
  • Manage workflow to ensure productivity and efficiency
  • Produce reports and provide updates on team performance
  • Work closely with supervisors and managers to support operations
  • Step up to cover supervisory duties when required

In addition to the above, you may be required to carry out other reasonable duties to support the smooth and efficient running of the warehouse operation.

This role operates on a structured shift pattern to promote consistency, teamwork, and routine. Flexibility with working hours and holidays is essential, including providing cover for colleagues when required.

Minimum Requirement for Team Leader Role

  • Recent work experience in a similar role
  • Proven ability to lead a team
  • Ability to travel daily to the location

Pay Rate

From £14.40 per hour

Working Hours

Week 1

  • Monday: 06:00 - 14:30
  • Tuesday: 06:00 - 14:30
  • Wednesday: 06:00 - 14:30
  • Saturday: 06:00 - 18:00
  • Sunday: 06:00 - 18:00

Week 2

  • Friday: 06:00 - 14:30

Week 3

  • Monday: 14:00 - 22:00
  • Tuesday: 14:00 - 22:00
  • Wednesday: 14:00 - 22:00
  • Friday: 14:00 - 22:00

This job is commutable from the following areas: Stoke on Trent, Newcastle under Lyme, Hanley, Longton, Burslem, Tunstall, Fenton, Trentham, Stafford, Stone and surrounding areas.
