At Lineage, helping to feed the world is more than a job – it's a purpose we live every day.

As the world's largest and most innovative provider of temperature-controlled logistics solutions, we play a critical role in keeping the global food supply chain moving. From farms and manufacturers to schools, hospitals, prisons, and restaurants, our teams ensure essential food products reach the people who need them most.

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team at our site in Heywood.

Location: Heywood

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off nights, 19:00 - 07:00

Salary: £37,384 per annum inclusive of shift allowance

About the Role

Lineage’s Heywood site is one of the UK’s flagship automated cold storage facilities, playing a vital role in keeping the nation’s food supply chain moving. The large-scale, fast-paced operation combines advanced automation, temperature-controlled warehousing and 24/7 logistics, supporting some of the UK’s leading food brands. With a strong focus on safety, innovation, operational excellence and teamwork, Heywood offers an exciting environment to build a rewarding career within a global logistics organisation.

We’re now looking for an ambitious Team Leader to join our coldstore operation. This is an ideal opportunity if you're looking to take the next step in your career and lead a team in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.

You'll lead a team of hardworking warehouse operatives, creating a culture of accountability, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement while ensuring every order is dispatched accurately and on schedule.

What You’ll Do

As a Coldstore Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring performance, safety, and efficiency standards are consistently met.
  • Oversee and coordinate daily operations in the coldstore, including the pick operation — prior experience in picking processes is essential.
  • Manage shift plans and resource allocation to keep workflows smooth and on schedule.
  • Monitor inbound/outbound movements, stock accuracy, and product integrity.
  • Operate and coordinate with material handling equipment (MHE), resolving any issues promptly to avoid downtime.
  • Maintain clear and open communication across departments, supporting continuous improvement and high team morale.
  • Address employee concerns, contribute to team development, and ensure a safe working environment.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
