Your new company

Our 3PL client has vacancies for 2 Warehouse Team Managers due to retirements in their business. They offer great opportunities for progression and have recently heavily invested in the site. They operate an open book contract with their customer and there is longevity in this relationship.

Your new role

This is a backshift role, working from 1400-2200 including every 2nd weekend. You will direct, control and monitor all warehouse operatives on shift, to ensure completion of daily functions, fully, safely and accurately. Proven experience in a warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain environment. You will be working within a high-volume, automated operation managing a team of 40 plus staff on a shift. Experience managing labour planning, resource allocation, and productivity measures. Familiarity with transport operations and supply chain processes. You will be working in a unionised environment.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Previous experience leading, supervising, or managing operational teams.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse processes including inbound, outbound, inventory control, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Ability to manage team performance against operational KPIs and service level agreements.
  • Excellent people management skills, including coaching, mentoring, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Competent in the use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Microsoft Office applications, and operational reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
