Warehouse Team Supervisor | Warehouse Supervisor | Warehouse Team Leader

Plymouth | £32,000-£34,000 + Benefits | 06:00-15:30 | Days | Weekends on rota | Full-Time | Permanent

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Team Supervisor to join a successful distribution operation in the Plymouth area. This is an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader or experienced warehouse professional looking to take the next step into a leadership role. You will support the day-to-day warehouse operation, helping to ensure high standards of productivity, safety, service and team performance.

Key Duties

  • Supervise and support a warehouse team to achieve daily operational targets
  • Allocate resources and workloads to maximise productivity and service levels
  • Monitor warehouse performance, KPIs and operational targets
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and performance
  • Promote a strong culture of health, safety, compliance and best practice
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing colleague development
  • Lead team briefings and ensure operational updates are communicated effectively
  • Investigate operational issues and assist with implementing corrective actions
  • Work closely with warehouse, transport and operational teams to maintain excellent service standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader or similar role within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
  • Experience working with operational targets, KPIs and performance measures
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and health and safety requirements
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands
  • Positive and proactive approach to problem solving
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment

Desirable

  • Experience using warehouse management systems and operational reporting tools
  • Knowledge of warehouse audits, compliance procedures and continuous improvement processes
  • Experience supporting recruitment, training and performance management activities
  • Understanding of distribution, logistics or supply chain operations

Working Hours

  • 06:00-15:30
  • Weekends on a rota
