Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Team Supervisor to join a successful distribution operation in the Plymouth area. This is an excellent opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader or experienced warehouse professional looking to take the next step into a leadership role. You will support the day-to-day warehouse operation, helping to ensure high standards of productivity, safety, service and team performance.

Key Duties
- Supervise and support a warehouse team to achieve daily operational targets
- Allocate resources and workloads to maximise productivity and service levels
- Monitor warehouse performance, KPIs and operational targets
- Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency and performance
- Promote a strong culture of health, safety, compliance and best practice
- Support recruitment, onboarding, training and ongoing colleague development
- Lead team briefings and ensure operational updates are communicated effectively
- Investigate operational issues and assist with implementing corrective actions
- Work closely with warehouse, transport and operational teams to maintain excellent service standards
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Team Leader or similar role within a warehouse, logistics, manufacturing or distribution environment
- Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams
- Experience working with operational targets, KPIs and performance measures
- Good understanding of warehouse operations and health and safety requirements
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships
- Well organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing demands
- Positive and proactive approach to problem solving
- Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment

Desirable
- Experience using warehouse management systems and operational reporting tools
- Knowledge of warehouse audits, compliance procedures and continuous improvement processes
- Experience supporting recruitment, training and performance management activities
- Understanding of distribution, logistics or supply chain operations
Working Hours
- 06:00-15:30
- Weekends on a rota
