Yard Operative

📍 St Ives, Cambridgeshire

⏰ Full-Time, 8am–5pm, Monday–Friday (with occasional weekend work and overtime opportunities)

💰 £30,940 per annum

What You'll Be Doing

As a Yard Operative, you'll help prepare, maintain, and organise equipment ready for dispatch to events across the UK and beyond.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Sorting equipment and materials into components and storage locations
  • Building and dismantling event kit ready for dispatch and return
  • Cleaning, sanding, painting, and carrying out basic repairs
  • Completing pick sheets, job sheets, and stock checks
  • Helping maintain a safe, organised, and efficient yard environment

You'll ideally have:

  • A strong eye for detail
  • Good reliability and timekeeping
  • Good written and spoken English
  • The ability to undertake manual handling and physical tasks
  • Confidence working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • A Counterbalance FLT licence (desirable, but training can be provided)
  • The ability to commute to our St Ives, Cambridgeshire site
