Are you an analytical, forward-thinking Solution Design Engineer who can come and shape high-impact 3PL logistics operations?

This rapidly growing Logistics company design, cost, and deliver end-to-end operational solutions for major brands across the UK and internationally.

They're seeking a talented Solutions Designer to join the commercial team, analysing data, designing smart warehouse layouts, and building robust cost models for both new tenders and site optimisations.

This role is based out of their new HQ in central Milton Keynes but will involve travel across the UK from time to time, when working on projects.

What You’ll Do

  • Translate raw customer data into high-performing, cost-effective warehouse designs, process flows, and resource models.
  • Create initial site layouts using CAD software, incorporating MHE, storage configurations, and automation where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Finance, and Operations to construct detailed financial models, business cases, and bid submissions.
  • Act as the operational design expert in customer meetings and pitches, presenting complex data in clear, compelling ways.

  • Proven experience in a Solution Design or Supply Chain Engineering role within 3PL or contract logistics.
  • Strong commercial acumen and advanced Microsoft Excel modelling skills.
  • Skilled in facility layout design tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp).
  • Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A practical, problem-solving mindset with an eye on emerging logistics technology and continuous improvement.
