Continental Direct, part of the Sutton Auto Factors group, is seeking to expand their warehouse team through an apprenticeship program. This role offers a comprehensive learning experience, enabling you to master all aspects of the business while working alongside a skilled and supportive team.
What You'll Do at Work
Your daily activities will include, but are not limited to:
- Picking: Collecting customer orders and identifying the correct items.
- Packing: Ensuring packages are correctly weighted and packaged to prevent damage.
- Stock Replenishment: Putting away new stock in designated warehouse locations.
- Checking Orders: Verifying the accuracy of the pick before dispatch.
- Health & Safety: Adhering to warehouse safety rules for your own safety and that of colleagues.

What You'll Learn
- Conduct risk assessments within the working environment.
- Apply safe working practices in line with health and safety legislation and company policy.
- Receive, store, pick, and dispatch products in line with organizational procedures.
- Decant, pack products in line with organizational procedures.
- Communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external customers, colleagues, and managers.
- Load and unload products, considering the product and its destination.
- Use tools and equipment to aid in product handling.
- Use information technology and digital systems, complying with GDPR and cyber security.
- Locate and use operational information required to fulfill contractual requirements.
- Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
- Support and conduct scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities.
- Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
- Follow procedures in line with environmental and sustainability regulations, standards, and guidance, and segregate resources for reuse, recycling, and disposal.
- Follow equity, diversity, and inclusion rules.
- Carry out and record learning and development activities.
- Conduct handover activities.

Training Schedule
This program is delivered via a block release model. You will complete a Level 2 Supply Chain Warehouse Operative apprenticeship standard, including required Functional Skills. You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills, and behaviors within the profession.
Essential Qualifications
- GCSE in English (grade 3)
- GCSE in Maths (grade 3)
