Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You’ll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience.

What you'll do at work

• Receive deliveries and check incoming stock against delivery notes
• Unload, move and safely store stock within the warehouse
• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently
• Pack goods securely and prepare orders for dispatch
• Load and unload vehicles safely when required
• Maintain accurate stock records and assist with stock checks
• Keep the warehouse clean, tidy and organised
• Learn to use warehouse equipment and systems safely
• Assist with stock rotation and ensuring products are stored correctly
• Support the wider team with day-to-day warehouse duties
• Provide good customer service when dealing with customers and deliveries
• Follow all company health and safety procedures and safe working practices

• Locate and use operational information, electronic or paper based, required to fulfil contractual requirements.
• Select, prepare, and use packaging materials that reduce waste and mitigate environmental impacts.
• Support under instruction scheduled and unscheduled stock taking activities relevant to the organisation and product.
• Identify and escalate problems beyond own responsibility.
