Warrant Officer – North East England
£37,500 Basic + £5,000 Car Allowance + Company Bonus | Field Based | Regional Territory.
Experienced in enforcement, field collections, debt recovery or handling challenging face-to-face customer situations? We’re recruiting a Warrant Officer to cover the North East of England for a rapidly growing national utilities and business services organisation.
This is a field-based position responsible for attending business premises where previous attempts to resolve outstanding debt have been unsuccessful.
You’ll be working at the next stage of the debt resolution process, executing court-issued warrants while still looking for opportunities to reach a suitable resolution with the customer wherever possible.
This role needs someone confident and resilient, but equally important is the ability to communicate well, read a situation and remain calm and professional when conversations become challenging.
The Role
You’ll manage your own regional territory, travelling to business premises where warrants have been obtained following unsuccessful attempts to resolve outstanding accounts.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Attending commercial premises to execute court-issued warrants
- Engaging directly with business owners and customers face to face
- Attempting to secure payment or agree an appropriate resolution before further action is taken
- Clearly explaining the situation, available options and next steps
- Working alongside engineers, locksmiths and other authorised parties where required
- Managing potentially challenging or confrontational situations calmly and professionally
- Making sound decisions while working independently in the field
- Managing your own geographical workload and daily schedule
- Completing accurate records and reports following visits
- Liaising with internal collections, operations and support teams
- Representing the business professionally throughout every customer interaction

The Package
- £37,500 basic salary
- £5,000 car allowance
- Discretionary company bonus scheme
What We’re Looking For
Previous experience within enforcement, warrants, field collections or debt recovery would be particularly relevant, although we’re also interested in people from other field-based backgrounds involving difficult conversations, negotiation and conflict management.
Relevant backgrounds could include:
- Warrant Officer
- Enforcement Agent
- Field Collections Officer
- Debt Resolution Officer
- Revenue Protection Officer
- Field Debt Collector
- Utilities Collections Officer
- Field Investigator
We’re particularly interested in people who can combine confidence and authority with strong communication skills.
You’ll need to be:
- Confident and assertive without being unnecessarily confrontational
- An excellent face-to-face communicator and negotiator
- Calm and professional under pressure
- Comfortable handling difficult or sensitive conversations
- Able to read situations and adapt your approach accordingly
- Resilient and emotionally intelligent
- Highly organised and capable of managing a regional territory independently
- Comfortable making decisions while working remotely
- Professional when representing the business at customer premises
