Job Description
The Warranty Claims Specialist
The Warranty Claims Specialist is responsible for reviewing and processing warranty claims submitted by the authorised dealer network, ensuring they are assessed accurately, consistently, and within agreed service levels. The role supports the effective management of manufacturer warranty spend while maintaining strong working relationships with dealers and internal technical teams.
Responsibilities
- Review and assess warranty claims submitted by the authorised dealer network to ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty policies and procedures.
- Process claims accurately and within defined service level agreements (SLAs).
- Identify discrepancies, missing information, or non-compliant claims and communicate required actions to dealers.
- Respond to dealer queries related to claim submissions, warranty policies, and claim decisions in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with internal technical teams when reviewing complex or unusual claims that require additional investigation or technical clarification.
- Work closely with colleagues within the warranty team to ensure consistent decision-making and knowledge sharing.
- Monitor claims for trends, anomalies, or potential misuse of warranty policies and escalate concerns where appropriate.
- Flag risks, irregularities, or recurring issues to the Warranty Manager.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within warranty operations and dealer processes.

- Experience in the automotive industry, ideally within warranty, aftersales, or dealer operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to review technical documentation and claims data accurately.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with dealer partners and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using claims management or dealer systems (desirable).
- Detail-oriented and methodical in approach.
- Customer-focused with a collaborative mindset.
- Professional and confident communicator.
- Ability to exercise sound judgement and escalate issues appropriately.
- Team player with a proactive attitude.
