Waste Disposal Operative
Based in Broxbourne, Hertfordshire
Permanent, full-time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £25,878 - £26,915 per annum
Looking for a hands-on role where you can get stuck in and make a real difference? We’re looking for a practical and reliable Waste Disposal Operative to join our Property Services team.
You’ll be out and about in our homes and estates, helping to keep them safe, clean and looking their best. Day to day, you’ll clear waste and fly-tipping from occupied and empty properties, as well as lending a hand to our trade operatives, including plumbers and carpenters, when they need some extra support.
You’ll work both independently and as part of the team, taking responsibility for your B3Living van and making sure tools, equipment and materials are stored and transported safely. Jobs will come through to your smartphone or tablet, so you’ll keep these updated as you go and make sure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a good standard.
We’re looking for someone who’s happy to roll up their sleeves, use their initiative and take pride in doing a good job. You’ll also be comfortable working around our customers and providing a friendly and respectful service.
We’re looking for someone with…
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to get stuck in
- Good customer service and communication skills
- A good understanding of health and safety, including COSHH and risk assessments
- Basic IT skills and confidence using a smartphone or handheld device for jobs
- A full UK manual driving licence
- The ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Please note, this is a physical role and will involve lifting and moving heavy objects, tools and materials, as well as working at height and in confined spaces.
You will also be required to have a basic criminal record (DBS) check, which we will pay for.
