The Role

Collecting.com is part of The Collecting Group (TCG) and is a rapidly growing auction platform operating 24/7, 100% online auctions, globally. We have grown to over 120 employees in 9 offices, with over 30,000 lots sold.

In this role you’ll be joining a growing, fast paced sales team within our Collecting.com business, that’s currently disrupting the traditional way watches are auctioned.

You’ll foster new relationships and deliver excellent outcomes with both sellers and collectors locally and internationally, developing long-lasting partnerships, whilst becoming part of the fabric of a fast moving, innovative company.

About you

  • Proactive and a self-starter, you have proven ability to work independently to source and close sales.
  • Ambitious and goal-oriented, motivated by progression and earning potential.
  • Comfortable on the phone, in a fast-paced environment where outbound prospecting is part of your everyday schedule.
  • Able to quickly identify prospect opportunities with the drive to move sales forward with urgency.
  • Adaptable, able to learn from setbacks and apply lessons learnt.
  • A minimum of 2 years experience negotiating sale terms and fees in B2B or B2C environments.
  • Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce.
  • Commercial yet customer first mindset – We are proud of our excellent customer service that builds our reputation and our member base from word-of-mouth referrals.

Responsibilities

  • Be a dedicated point of contact through the life of the auction process, co-ordinate end to-end activities from initial prospecting and pre-sales through to close of sale and post sales ensuring excellent levels of engagement and service throughout the process.
  • Research values of collectible and luxury watches, analysing industry trends to make informed decisions on market reserves and Identify suitable watches for the Collecting.com platform.
  • Continually work to build and develop your network to bring in new business opportunities for Collecting.com.
  • Collaborate with your team to nurture relationships and assist with the closure of deals.
  • Work towards clear objectives within a fast-paced, sales focused environment.
  • Use Salesforce to manage consignments and customers from prospects through to auction close, ensuring records and customer information is accurate and up to date.
  • Participate in Collecting.com external events to help build awareness of the brand. Work as part of the wider Collecting Group team, collaborating to support the success of all members.
