About the Role
Beaucroft Watches is an independent British watch brand, founded in Cambridge in 2020. Alongside Beaucroft, our sister company, BenchWorks Limited, provides sourcing, prototyping, assembly, and after-sales support to Beaucroft and other British watch brands.
As we continue to grow, we're looking for an exceptional individual to join our six-month Watchmaker Trainee Programme, located in Midhurst West Sussex.
No previous watchmaking experience is required. A background in a technical, engineering, or practical field would be an advantage, but we're much more interested in your ability, attitude, and willingness to learn.
Over six months, you’ll receive hands-on training in the essential skills needed to become an Assembly Watchmaker, working alongside our experienced team. Successful completion of the initial six-month programme could lead to a full-time position as an Assembly Watchmaker.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
